  The Post-Tribune of Northwest Indiana today printed its endorsement of Michael W. Griffin for Indiana State Treasurer.

Treasurer

The office of state treasurer is sought by Republican Richard Mourdock of Evansville, a private consultant to environmental and energy businesses, and Democrat Michael Griffin, the four-term clerk-treasurer of the city of Highland.

Mourdock has an extensive and impressive history of business ventures and was a Vanderburgh County commissioner from 1993 to 2002.

We endorse Griffin for treasurer, Rokita for secretary of state

Indiana has three statewide offices up for election this year -- auditor, secretary of state and treasurer.

But while the auditor's office might seem dull enough to make most Hoosiers snooze, the races for treasurer and secretary of state offices are worth noticing.
